At Forever Young Academy (FYA) our mission is to empower students to achieve intellectual and personal excellence, take control of their lives, and master their futures. Therefore, we have developed an educational culture where our administrators and educators understand the importance of building strong individuals and families. This will be accomplished through social emotional intelligence, parental engagement, academic excellence, health and wellness, and continuous improvement.

The Expanding Ocala Market

According to the May 2022 Marion County School Board work session regarding the impact of growth in Marion County on area schools. There are shortages in several areas based on increased population. Marion County has seen population growth of over 10,000 residents in the past two years which includes more than 1,300 school aged children.

More specifically, the session showed area high schools are at 91% of capacity. When you take into consideration the number of residential projects already approved in the County, there is an expectation of an additional 2,750 high school aged students over the next three years, exceeding current seating capacity.

Barbara Dobbins, executive director of Marion County operations and emergency management, said there is no available funding from the capital outlay to allocate towards the construction of new schools in the future.
